- I studied Applied Mathematics at the University of Nairobi (UoN), where I got a Ph.D. in Applied Dynamical systems in 1997. I also studied Biomathematics at the University of Konstanz and Functional Differential Equations (FDE) at the University of Giessen in Germany. I had a short stay at the Center for Dynamical Systems and Nonlinear Studies (CDSNS) Georgia Institute of Technology (GIT) for my Postdoctoral and as an Adjunct Faculty. I had the privilege to visit FU Berlin, where I participated in many seminars in mathematics.
- Besides academic work, I have good knowledge in Transformational Leadership, Change Management, Strategic Thinking, Strategic Planning, Strategic Budgeting, and Strategic Implementation through a Balanced Scorecard (BSC), Result Based Management. I have formal training in and Negotiating Skills from Government Training Institute (GTI) at Matuga and BSC from the Center for Strategy and Management. I have done Corporate Governance at the Kenya School of Government. I do consultancies on Performance Contracting seminars on Strategic thinking for some universities and Kakamega county government. In addition, I have raised funds for student’s research and for the construction of academic facilities in an academic institution.
