Overview

Maasai Mara university offers postgraduate, undergraduate and diploma level academic programs distributed in five different schools, namely: School of Tourism and Natural Resources Management (2 departments), School of Education (2 departments), School of Science (4 departments), School of Business (2 departments) and school of Arts and Social Sciences (2 departments). These programs are offered after a thorough demand assessment, and are responsive to community needs and give the students and the community the capacity to solve real-life and day to day social, economic, livelihood and environmental challenges.

Master of Business AdministrationMinimum entry requirements:
  • Holders of a 1st Class/2nd Class (Upper Division) degree in Business, Economics, Administration or Commerce from a recognized University OR.
  • 2nd Class Bachelors Degree (Lower Division) in a relevant area of study with at least two years of post-qualification work experience or with a relevant postgraduate diploma from a recognized institution.
  • Bachelor’s Degree with a Pass and a Postgraduate Diploma in a relevant field.
Masters of Science in Human Resource ManagementMinimum entry requirements:
  • At least a 2nd class honours Bachelors degree (Upper Division) in a relevant area from a recognized University OR
  • 2nd Class Bachelors degree (Lower Division) in a relevant field with at least two years post qualification experience OR 
  • A 2nd Class Bachelors degree (Lower Division) with a relevant postgraduate diploma from a recognized Institution with relevant work experience or research publication.
Post-graduate Diploma in Human Resource ManagementMinimum entry requirements:
  • Bachelors degree with at least a lower 2nd class honours from a recognized University OR
  • Holders of a Bachelors degree with a pass from a recognized University with at least two years working experience in the area of Human Resource Management.
