A total of 24 students (8 per association) will be selected based on their academic records, research experience, letter of recommendation, and overall evidence of scientific aptitude and competence. Students who apply should have their doctoral research planned or underway, but not completed, so that they can benefit from the critiques given during the school. Students will have to cover their own travel costs, while accommodation from August 14 to August 18 (4 nights) and meals are paid for by the summer school. Students selected by SRA (whose travel costs are expected to be substantially higher) will be eligible for an SRA travel fellowship.
