UNIVERSITY JOINS H.E THE PRESIDENT DR. WILLIAM SAMOEI RUTO IN NAROK COUNTY DEVELOPMENT TOUR.

Maasai Mara University joined his Excellency the President Dr. William Samoei Ruto on his Narok County Development Tour.
The University was represented by the Council Members: Chair, Dr. Kennedy Ole Karei, Amb. Peter Ole Nkuraiyia and Ms. Agnes Chepkemoi Busienei, the University management and staff: The Vice-Chancellor Prof. Peninah Aloo-Obudho, Director TVETI, Prof. Stella Kirui, Director
Public Relations, Marketing and Linkages (PRM&L) Dr. Edward Kateiya, Dr Patrick Kamundia and Nickson Magak.
The president opened an ultra-modern EZ Market in Suswa, Ntulele, launched KMTC, Narok Branch, did the groundbreaking of the Narok International Airport and inspected development at ENSDA Tannery.
Other development projects earmarked during this presidential tour includes: The launch of the affordable housing in Kilgoris, issuance of title deeds in Olderkesi and Emurua Dikir, handing over the Mau Forest title deed to Narok county Government, launching of a tarmac road in Ngoswani and opening of DCC office alongside meetup with the Sekenani Women Groups Beadwork.
The president promised enhanced delivery of essential services that includes drilling of bore holes and water supply, expansion of electricity to homes This event showed the great interest and commitment of the National Government to ensure equitable development.
This comes at a crucial the University is strengthening its community service and outreach as a key factor in community empowerment and sustainable development. There’s no doubt that the co-existence and harmoniously relationship is a catalyst to development and that there is need to tighten the nexus.
