The discussions focused on key areas of collaboration including:

  • Capacity building and student engagement through internships and field attachments
  • Knowledge exchange between researchers, farmers, and extension practitioners
  • Community outreach programs to support climate-smart agriculture in local farming communities
The meeting also discussed the draft MOU which its signing will formalize the commitment of both institutions to work together in driving impactful agricultural solutions and strengthening the link between academia and practical farming systems.

Farming Systems Kenya and Maasai Mara University held a collaborative meeting to explore strategic areas of partnership aimed at advancing sustainable agriculture, research, and community development.

Mmarau team comprised of: Deas school of Natural Resources , Environmental Studies and Agriculture Dr. Samson Mabwoga, COD Animal Health and Production Dr. Patrick Kamundia, Director Patrick Relations, Marketing and Linkages Dr. Edward Kateiya, Dr. Obiero and Nickson Magak. FSK included: Executive Director Kenneth Wamuya, Samuel Chege, Dr. Olwichi Mustafa, John Maina and Charles Gichovi.
