STRENGTHENING ACADEMIC TIES MMARAU MEETS HENAN UNIVERSITY OF SCIENCE AND TECHNOLOGY (HAUST) , LUOYANG, CHINA

Led by the Deputy Vice-Chancellor, Administration, Finance and Strategy Prof. James Nampushi, Mmara-U through Deputy Registrar Strategy and Resource Mobilisation Mr.Lankeu Reson hosted a team from Henan University of Science and Technology (HAUST) led by the Vice-President Prof. Guo Xiangchun for collaborative meeting.

The discussion revolved around shared values and thematic areas of mutual interests. Possible collaboration areas identified for further discussions included: Research, Agriculture, Student and staff exchange, innovation and entrepreneurship, traditional medicine, ICT, environmental conservation and management.

Other HAUST representatives included Li Wenke, Jin Xin, Junyi Yang and Kylie Tan, Tour Guide.

Other Mmara-U staff present included: Dean School of Natural Resources, Environmental studies and Agriculture Dr. Samson Mabwoga, Director Public Relations Marketing and Linkages ( PRM&L) Dr. Edward Kateiya, Coordinator Centre for Community outreach Mr. Jackson Masago, Dr. Charity Koanana, Marjan Hamisi, office of DVC RIO, Nickson Magak, PRM&L.

This would be the first collaboration HAUST is engaging in Africa.
