ORIENTATION FOR THE FIRST-YEARS, 2025

The University new family members, the 2025 first years have begun their orientation exercise for smooth transition into the University life.
The Dean of Students Mr. Mohamed A. Adan opened the exercise that will run up to Sunday 31st August. The Dean highlighted about the University rules, regulations and life. He also touched on the security, available opportunities such as for the needy students, work for study, scholarships, counselling and communication channels.
“ Freedom in the University comes with responsibilities, do whatever you desire but remember what brough you here. You must maintain 80% class attendance, and observe the 10-10 hostel rule,” Mr. Adan said.
His sentiments were shared by Deputy Dean Dr. Sister Sambu, and Mr. Jackson Masago. Sister Sambu urged the students to be vigilant in building new friendships. “ We don’t want to fill maternity leave forms for you. We want to celebrate you after four years of study,” she said.
Mr. Jackson Masago, encouraged students to join clubs and societies for growth beyond academics, while the MMUSA Student Council and staff members, pledged their support to the new cohort.
We wish our first-year students success in their academic journey here at Maasai Mara University. Stay safe, stay focused, and make the most of every opportunity.
