Maasai Mara University Champions Environmental Sustainability Through Green Cover Tree-Planting Initiative

In this elaborate exercise, at-least 3,000 tree seedlings were planted within the school compound and 2,000 trees donated to the local community to boost regional reforestation.

Special thanks to our host, Principal Naomi Kasero, and Board Member Ms. Josephine Kuresha, whose dual roles at the school and university helped bridge this partnership.
This initiative is a testament to the visionary leadership of our Vice-Chancellor, Prof. Peninah Aloo -Obudho (Head of the Green Cover Concept Project), and Prof. Francis Mburu, DVC-RIO (Chairman of the Green Cover Concept Committee). Together, we are growing a greener tomorrow!
