KCB Foundation Visits Maasai Mara University to Strengthen Student Support

The visit marks an important step in deepening collaboration between the University and its partners, in line with its vision of promoting innovation and empowerment for societal transformation.

Further discussions focused on strengthening collaboration in career services and bursary support. The University’s bursary fund, managed by the Office of the Dean of Students under its corporate social responsibility framework, was highlighted as a key area for potential support.
Other members of the KCB Foundation present were Mr. Benson Masero, Mr. Arnold Kerei, and Ms. Hellen Siameto, all from the Narok Branch. The University team included the Dean of Students, Mohamed Adan; Deputy Finance Officer, Ms. Gorett Clement; and Ms. Lucy Nkonge, Personal Assistant to the Vice-Chancellor.

MAASAI MARA UNIVERSITY AND KCB FOUNDATION UNITE TO EXPAND STUDENT SUPPORT AND DEVELOPMENT OPPORTUNITIES

Maasai Mara University today hosted a delegation from the KCB Foundation for an introductory visit aimed at strengthening collaboration in student support and development.
The delegation was received by the Registrar (Academics), Dr. Fredrick Otieno, who represented the Vice-Chancellor, Prof. Peninah Aloo-Obudho. The KCB Foundation team was led by Mr. Stephen Matee, Senior Program Manager for Education.
The discussions centered on the Foundation’s ongoing support to the University, including its sponsorship of eleven financially disadvantaged students. Building on this partnership, the two teams explored opportunities to expand collaboration in areas that directly enhance student outcomes. These included internship and industrial attachment placements, mentorship programs, financial literacy and entrepreneurship training, and participation in community initiatives.
