This milestone follows the ISERC’s accreditation by NACOSTI, enabling the university to internally review research proposals as mandated by the STI Act 2013.
Staff and students can now enjoy streamlined, in-house ethical review.

On 10th June 2026, the Maasai Mara University Institutional Scientific and Ethics Review Committee (MMARAU-ISERC) held its inaugural meeting at the Senate Boardroom. The event was officially opened by Prof. Francis Mburu, DVC Research, Innovation & Outreach.
