Competence-Based Education Training Workshop

From 26th to 29th February 2024, Maasai Mara University hosted a comprehensive Competence-Based Education (CBE) Training  Workshop. The event delved into various aspects of education, focusing on the Basic Education Curriculum Framework (BECF), CBE Curriculum designs, CBE Pedagogy, Integration of Community Service Learning, Value-Based Education, and Contemporary Issues in the Curriculum.

One of the key highlights was the exploration of Competence-Based Assessment Framework (CBAF) methods, emphasizing the importance of aligning university curricula with the Competency-Based Curriculum (CBC). Participants engaged in insightful discussions and workshops, fostering a deeper understanding of the evolving educational landscape.

This workshop played a crucial role in enhancing educators' skills and knowledge, ensuring they are well-equipped to implement and align their teaching strategies with the contemporary educational frameworks. The collaborative effort aimed to elevate the quality of education, emphasizing competence development and community engagement in the learning process.

The workshop ended with Maasai Mara University academic staff members in planting trees with the consultants on 29th February, 2024
