Access Bank Plc, Visit to the University

The University today hosted a delegation from Access Bank Plc for a courtesy visit led by the Managing Director, Mr. George Odhiambo, for a courtesy and engagement visit.
The Vice-Chancellor, Prof. Peninah. Aloo-Obudho welcomed the team and appreciated the bank’s effort in reaching institutions of higher learning for collaborations in education and community service. The V.C was accompanied by the Director Public Relations, Marketing and Linkages Dr. Edward Kateiya.
The Vice-chancellor highlighted about the University background, research areas, niche , 5Mpillars and possible areas of collaborations.
Mr. George elaborated about the Access Bank coverage in the world, process of formation in Kenya, areas of education related operations such as: financing, water, environment and climate mattes. “ Our existence is to make an impact,” said Mr. Odhiambo.

The discussions focused on strengthening partnerships in areas of financial literacy, student empowerment, digital banking solutions, unemployment, environment, research commercialisation, network with other institutions in the academia for development, CSR activities and cultural engagements among others.
Such collaborations underscore Maasai Mara University’s commitment to building sustainable relationships with key industry stakeholders for the benefit of students and staff.
