Bridging the Gap Between Research and Policy

Today, Maasai Mara University proudly hosted the Foundational Learning Policy Brief Workshop in collaboration with Education Sub Saharan Africa and Technical University of Kenya. The Vice-Chancellor Prof. Peninah Aloo- Obudho, PhD, EBS, emphasized that while access to education is vital, the quality of literacy and numeracy foundations is what truly transforms lives.

“The value of research is strengthened when evidence contributes to better decisions and better outcomes for society,” noted the VC.

The goal of the workshops was to ensure that researchers don’t just identify problems, but provide clear, actionable solutions that help policymakers improve education for every child. We are excited to collaborate with our partner universities and researchers to turn evidence into impact, said the V.C.

The participants were urged to think of how universities can work together to ensure that the knowledge they generate contributes meaningfully to the challenges facing our communities and our country.
