Making Healthcare Accessible: Maasai Mara University and Partners Transform Lives in Leshuta

More than 500 residents from Leshuta and neighbouring communities benefited from a successful 2-Day Free Medical Camp held on 6–7 August 2026 at Leshuta Dispensary, Narok County, led by Maasai Mara University in collaboration with the Narok County Government, Amref Health Africa, World Vision, Kenya Red Cross, Lions Sight Eye Hospital, We World, Dandelion Africa, Rotary Club of Narok, Afyafrica, Medicatia, Premiercare Health, Elongo Africa Initiatives, and NACOSFI.

The outreach provided free general medical consultations, eye screening and optical care, diabetes and hypertension screening, health education, and community health dialogues, bringing quality healthcare closer to underserved communities.

Reflecting its niche in Tourism, Environmental Resource Management and Conservation, the University also distributed and planted over 300 tree seedlings, reaffirming its commitment to environmental stewardship, climate resilience, and sustainable community development alongside improved public health.

Maasai Mara University sincerely thanks all our partners, healthcare professionals, volunteers, community leaders, and the people of Leshuta for their invaluable support, dedication, and collaboration. Together, we are making healthcare accessible, transforming lives, strengthening communities, and building a healthier and more sustainable future for all.
