Maasai Mara University Hosts International Delegation

This visit demonstrates Maasai Mara University’s strong commitment to fostering collaborations and strategic partnerships.

The visit was connected to the University through Samuel Ndorko, the Chief Officer for Tourism, Wildlife, and Culture, and Mr. Samson Shakai, Assistant Registrar (Admissions).
Also present were Mr. Lankeu Reson, Deputy Registrar for Resource Mobilization; Prof. Ratemo Makiya Cyprian, Director of the Centre for ICT and E-Learning; Dr. Edward Kateiya, Director of Marketing and Public Relations; Dr. Samson Mabwoga, Dean of the School of Natural Resources, Environmental Studies and Agriculture; and Dr. Judy Kibe, Dean of the School of Tourism and Hospitality.

Maasai Mara University hosted a distinguished delegation comprising of representatives from Neighbors Abroad (USA), Olive Seed Foundation, and the Narok County Government.

The team was received on behalf of the Vice-Chancellor by Prof. Francis Mburu, Ag. Deputy Vice-Chancellor (Research, Innovation and Outreach).
Prof. Mburu highlighted the University’s niche in Tourism, Environmental Conservation, and Management, emphasizing its role in research, innovation, and community engagement.
The delegation, led by Ms. Sarah Burgess (President of Neighbors Abroad), Ms. Barb Mackerraz (Founder and Executive Director of OliveSeed Foundation), Samuel Ndorko, Chief Officer for Tourism, Wildlife and Culture of Narok County Government, and Mr. Amos Kipeen (CEO of Olive Seed Foundation, Narok), expressed appreciation for the warm reception and identified opportunities for collaboration, including staff and student exchange programs, environmental sustainability initiatives, cultural exchanges, and education partnerships.
