Maasai Mara University successfully hosted the Learning Mindset Small Grants Workshop on Wednesday, 18th March 2026, at the Main Conference Hall. The workshop was organized by Dr. Jedida Nankaya and Dr. Mukolwe Asakhulu in collaboration with the Learning Mindset team led by Professor Caroline.
The event brought together educators and researchers to explore innovative tools and practices aimed at improving learning in higher education. Key focus areas included autonomous learning, game-based learning, and the ethical integration of AI in education. Participants were also introduced to opportunities for small research grants to support projects that enhance student engagement and self-directed learning.
The workshop further outlined a capacity-building programme designed to equip participants with skills in designing, implementing, and evaluating educational interventions, as well as conducting and publishing impactful research. Overall, the session provided a valuable platform for collaboration and advancing learner-centered practices within the university.
