The Maasai Mara University Half Marathon is a premier annual event designed to: Empower the tourism and hospitality sector through quality training Promote the preservation of indigenous culture and heritage Advance environmental management and conservation Sensitize the community on climate action
The event brings together Students, Athletes, Local Communities, Government Institutions, Development Partners, and the Private Sector in a spirit of unity and shared purpose.
To raise at least Ksh. 10 million to support the thematic areas listed. To support the faculty of tourism and hospitality in producing highly skilled graduates for the local and international market. Plant Over 1,000 trees planted as part of the Mau Forest restoration program. Increased awareness and visibility in education, gender advocacy initiatives and promote environmental conservation focusing on the Mau complex. To enhance cultural tourism and wellness through sports and traditional performances.
