Maasai Mara University Joins the 3rd Edition of the Maa Cultural and Tourism Festival in Amboseli

Maasai Mara University proudly joined the celebration of the Maa Culture Week held at Amboseli National Park, Kimana, Kajiado County, marking the 3rd Edition of the Maa Cultural and Tourism Festival. The event brought together communities, institutions, and cultural enthusiasts to honor the rich heritage, traditions, and values of the Maa community. The University delegation was led by Council Members, alongside the Vice-Chancellor, Prof. Peninah Aloo-Obudho, members of staff, and students, who all participated actively in the festival’s activities.

Under the leadership of the Council Chairperson, Dr. Kennedy Ole Kerei, and the Vice-Chancellor, the University’s presence underscored its deep commitment to promoting and preserving cultural heritage. Through its participation, Maasai Mara University reaffirmed its role as a center for learning that values cultural diversity, community engagement, and the safeguarding of indigenous knowledge systems. The University showcased its cultural exhibitions and engaged in various interviews that reflected the essence of tradition, identity, and the living spirit of the Maa people.
