ACADEMIC COLLABORATION: FOSTERING THE FUTURE THROUGH PARTNERSHIP WITH THE UNIVERSITY OF TSUKUBA, JAPAN.

Hosted a delegation from The University of Tsukuba for collaboration meeting.
Deputy Vice-Chancellor Administration, Finance and Strategy Prof. James Nampushi and Acting Deputy Vice-Chancellor , Research, Innovation and Outreach Prof. Francis Mburu lead the University team in the meeting. Deputy Registrar Resource mobilization Mr. Lankeu Reson coordinated the meeting.
The University of Tsukuba team comprised of two faculty members from sports department and several post graduate students.
Kenyatta University was also represented by two members of staff from the Sports department.
The University of Tsukuba is ranked among Japan’s top 10 universities and is well known for producing top athletes: students and graduates have garnered over 140 Olympic and Paralympic medals and three Nobel Prize-winning scientists.
The meeting explored areas of collaboration in diverse disciples more specifically sports sciences, health, sports tourism, students and staff exchange programme and other areas of mutual interest.
