Masai Mara University hosted a collaborative meeting with over 25 staff and students from the University of Tennessee Martin led by Dr. Keith Dooley. Innov8Africa was represented by the Project Manager Mr. Fredrick Onyango.
Masai Mara University team comprised of Prof. Peter Kisinyo, Dean School of natural resources, environmental studies and agriculture Dr. Samson Mabwoga, Director Center for ICT & E-Learning Dr. Cyprian Ratemo, Coordinator Centre for Community Outreach Mr. Jackson Masago, Evance Ouya among other staff.
The meeting discussed possible areas of collaboration that included joint research, innovation, community projects, ICT for development and Agriculture.
Prof. Kisinyo emphasized the University’s mandate to advance research and innovation and welcomed the opportunity for meaningful collaboration with global institutions. He highlighted the importance of formal frameworks such as Memoranda of Understanding (MOUs), especially in areas like wildlife conservation, to enhance the sharing of knowledge and research efforts.




Dr. Keith Dooley provided an overview of the University of Tennessee’s commitment to global research and innovation. He shared insights into their community outreach initiatives, including programs that teach children how to grow vegetables, as well as strategies used in crop production and veterinary disease diagnosis. He also proposed the development of exchange programs and virtual conferences to enhance communication, capacity building, and shared learning between institutions.
