
The Chief guest was Deputy County Commissioner, Narok South Mr. George Odhiambo. Other distinguished guests included: Narok Prisons commissioner Esther Lochoto, Narok County Coordinator, NACADA Christine Kosnah among others.
The speakers emphasized that drug and substance abuse and illicit trafficking are issues that affects our society as a whole, and it is up to each and every one of us to make a difference.
The Universities play a key role in spreading awareness and educating students about the dangers of drug abuse. By participating and attending this event, we showes oursupport for a drug-free campus and community. During the event, the University donated Sanitary towels.
Together, we can make a difference and create a safer, healthier environment for everyone.
INTERNATIONAL DAY AGAINST DRUG ABUSE AND ILLICIT TRAFFICKING
Joined other partners led by NACADA in marking international day against Drug Abuse and Illicit Trafficking, Narok County on 26th June 2025 at Narok County Prison ground. The day’s theme was : The Evidence is clear: Invest in Prevention.
Jane Pempa, Community Outreach and Ruth Wanjiru, Health Unit represented the University.
