NURSING EDUCATION ENHANCED AS NCK VISITS MAASAI MARA UNIVERSITY

Students pursuing Bachelor of Science in Nursing at Maasai Mara University will continue enjoying high quality Nursing Education and practical training as the University keeps maintaining quality teaching and learning as well as research and innovation in the said professional field.
It is on the same wavelength that Nursing Council of Kenya (NCK) sent a team of Nursing and Midwifery Education experts to Maasai Mara University so as have a round table discussion regarding progressive improvements that the University has been making, in line with the standards of Nursing and Midwifery education.
Maasai Mara University Vice Chancellor Prof. Peninah Aloo-Obudho was represented by the Deputy Vice Chancellor, Academic and Students Affairs Prof. Bulitia Godrick Mathews. He was accompanied by the Acting Registrar Academic Affairs Dr. John Maera, Acting Dean School of Health Sciences Prof. Oyaro Nathan, Chair-Department of Health Sciences, Ms. Jacquiline Naulikha and some Nursing faculty members.
NCK is mandated to ensure that training compliance and professionalism is adhered to by all institutions offering Nursing and Midwifery Education in Kenya.
Impressively, Maasai Mara University has often been found to be fully compliant during NCK inspections that are conducted to ensure that Nursing and Midwifery training institutions, health facilities and nursing care comply with regulatory requirements.
