The University through the Centre for Community Outreach led by Mr. Jackson Ole Masago, Samson Shakai, Jane Reson and Nickson Magak , Public Relations , Marketing and Linkages donated family solar lights to vulnerable pupils at Sankale and Olmakau Comprehensive schools in Transmara West Sub County, Narok County.
This activity cemented the University’s role in reaching the local community with positive impacts in diverse social-economic ways.
Elated pupils, parents and teachers of the said schools could not hide their joy. It was a communal gathering during the donations exercise.
The status of the schools was evidence of the vulnerability and clear justification of the course. Mr. Moses Rumpas, head teacher Olmakau and Mr. Joram Maina of Sankale Schools thanked the University for their kind gesture and expressed their optimism for continued collaboration.
