A three-day hands-on training programme culminated in a competitive challenge, with Team Borakazi emerging victorious for their innovative dairy co-operative concept.
Maasai Mara University’s Innovation Week featured a three-day training session led by Odoo — an open-source suite of business applications that helps organisations manage operations including CRM, eCommerce, accounting, inventory, sales, and project management on a single platform.
Students and faculty participated in hands-on sessions covering website creation, product management, sales and order processing, and profit-and-loss analysis using the Odoo platform.
“The programme concluded with a competitive challenge in which students worked in groups of three to solve real-world business case studies.”
Among all participating teams, Team Borakazi emerged as the winner after proposing a solution to the problem of surplus milk production and low demand in Limuru. The team developed the concept of Maziwa Bora Co-op, leveraging various Odoo applications to create, manage, and market the product effectively.
