DESCRIPTION:The Department of Language\, Linguistics and Culture in the School of Arts\, Humanities\, Social Sciences and Creative Industries has planned a book launch to be held on Wednesday\, 14th May 2025 at the university’s Conference Hall from 9:00 AM. The anthology of short stories entitled The Rescued Girl is authored by the prolific writer Phoebe Nadupoi Larmoi.\nThe occasion will be presided over by His Excellency\, the Governor of Narok County\, Hon. Patrick ole Ntutu. Other notable guests include renown authors like Naomi Kipury\, David ole Munke\, Tiwaine ole Nchoko\, and Maison ole Nkurrunah. The home of African Literature\, Nuria Bookstore\, will be present. The Narok and Kajiado county leadership will be in attendance.\nThe event which is billed as a milestone in the academic calendar of Maasai Mara University\, will bring together Literature\, Theatre and Film\, Media\, School of Education students and staff to a literary cocktail of Book Reading\, Reviews\, Criticisms\, Art\, Publishing and Marketing.\nALL ARE WELCOME
