Day 2 - Empowering Women, Transforming Communities

Today marked a truly special day as the Mmara-U team had the honour of hosting former First Lady Mrs. Sarah Tunai and her daughter, Naserian Tunai for the women empowerment workshop. Their presence brought inspiration, wisdom, and encouragement to every woman in the room.
The sessions focused on practical skills and critical social issues
that impact the lives of women and girls in our community:
Soap Making – Equipping women with hands-on skills for financial independence and entrepreneurship.
Advocacy and Awareness: Bold conversations on ending Female Genital Mutilation (FGM), child marriage, and teenage pregnancy.
Family Wellbeing: Sharing positive parenting strategies and championing child welfare.
Every skill learned, every story shared, and every voice raised today is a step toward a stronger, healthier, and more empowered community.
Together, we are equipping, uplifting, and empowering women for a brighter tomorrow.
