The school was started in 2009 with five members and currently the school has four departments namely: Physical Sciences and Mathematics (PSM), Biological Science (BS), Computer and Information Sciences (CIS) and Information and Communication Technology (ICT). The school of science has twenty eight (28) teaching staff and a student population of over six hundred students (600). The school members of staff are involved in teaching and research in various areas. The school has recently acquired three state of the art pieces of equipments for teaching and research and these includes AAS, FTIR-affinity-1s and GC-FID. The school has several collaborations with industry and other leading universities. As a school we would like to have even more collaborations with higher institutions of learning, industries, states agencies and research institutes for training and industrial attachment for our students and academic staff.

Establishment of a French Language Institute/ centre Maasai Mara University is currently teaching French language to students undertaking tourism, arts and hospitality courses.

Establish and promote joint research, development projects and academic cooperation with focus on the Maasai Mara (ecosystem, living conditions, economic growth and biodiversity)

Kenya Industrial Estates

Create incubation centers and incubate student's projects with potential for commercialization. Attachment of MMU staff to enterprise funded through KIE for purposes of gaining experience that would be ploughed back into teaching.
