Welcome to Maasai Mara University. Our motto is "eng'eno e puuan" which is maasai for "knowledge is prosperity". We are Guided by our core values of excellence, professionalism, teamwork, creativity & innovativeness, transparency & accountability, equity and social justice. We are convinced that indeed, Maasai Mara University is and will continue to be a world Class University committed to academic excellence for development. Our proximity to the Masaai Mara Game Reserve and the Mau Forest Complex enables us to undertake increased research activities, in partnership with other scholars, environmentalists and funding agencies. This is aimed at contributing to the conservation of the natural resources and the long term national development goals. I wish to take this opportunity to encourage those wishing to pursue higher Education to make Maasai Mara University their University of choice. We have a wide range of academic programmes spread across the Schools of Education, Science, Information Science, Business & Economics, Arts & Social Sciences and Tourism & Natural Resources. The 21st century will see changes that innovation brings, will have a major effect on the way people work and the kinds of jobs they do. In a world where change is the norm, however, one thing is certain - knowledge will be a key resource and will be highly sought. The challenge - shared by all universities - is to help to generate the intellectual property which will create new jobs, and to educate and train people to work in fields where they will be valued both for their specialized knowledge, and for their ability to research, communicate and solve problems.

God bless Maasai Mara University.
